Bored with the DC universe and looking to be entertained, as well as get some revenge on Superman and DC for Captain Strong, a silver aged Popeye Clone, Mxyzptlk teleports the real Popeye to the DCU and endows him with an endless, perpetually expanding supply of spinach (a large Jupiter sized planets' worth of spinach) in his digestive tract that he must constantly digest and burn or risk death by spinach explosion in 30 seconds. Popeye has to go on a rampage on DC Earth to use up all of the power he has and stay alive.
Mxyzptlk also uses his powers to block any magical, energy, kinetic energy sapping, or matter manipulating attacks from being used on Popeye. The only way to best the Sailor Man is to punch him out. He then drops Popeye in the middle of Metropolis and alters Popeye's vision so that all the beings in the DC Universe appear to be Bluto kidnapping Olive Oyl. Popeye goes apeshit, punching random citizens and objects, transforming them into odd comical caricatures of themselves (for exampl, he punches a traffic cop in a police car and turns him into a dazed cop with a four giant sprinkled donuts wrapped around him). The JLA are informed and send a response team. Wonder Woman is a first responder and attempts to apprehend Popeye, but he lands a haymaker on her and turns her and her lasso into a dazed stripper leaning on a stripper pole with a $5 bill hanging from her thong, much to Mxyzptlk's delight. Mxyzptlk, pleased with the results, then makes Popeye 30 feet tall, and he will grow an additional 5 feet every hour until he grows big enough to punch the entire planet through the 4th Wall.
Can anyone on DC Earth throw down with Popeye and the power of a million spinach patches before he punches the entire planet and turns it into a comic book on a rack in the real world?
ok this is more of a comical thing than a fight. Popeye is made to win this one lol. of course, if martian Manhunter were to use is mind powers to read his mind, they COULD turn popeye against Darkseid, and then HE'D be in trouble lol.
By the way, this isn't a joke thread, this is a serious battle scenario. Popeye doesn't get his due and I'm a Popeye advocate. I'm just creating a scenario where Popeye would be a global threat rather than going head up with Supes/Grundy etc.
DC Earth doesn't have to fight him one at a time, they can jump him if possible.
