The resistance has somehow captured the TX and the T-1000 and reprogrammed them to go after Skynet. Together the TX and the T-1000, as a team, go after Skynet in an attempt to destroy it.
Timeline: Terminator: Salvation. The two Terminators are unarmed and dressed in full tactical gear.
Can they do it?

This is during Salvation, when there was not yet time travel.
Not sure if Skynet wins or not.

Been thinking about this. The Terminators win. Skynet, during the timeline I posted, cannot contend with them.

There is no time travel here. Time travel did not exist in Salvation, did it? This is a straight up battle happening during the events of Salvation. No time travel bullshit.

Time travel wasnt bullshit in Salvation though, was it?
It always will have existed.
Thats the timeline, dude.
Thats how John Connor was born.
He was walking evidence of it's existance.
(Just like Time travel would be necessary for a T-1000 or TX to even be in this battle in the first place.)
So Skynet waits the short period of time til it IS available, and wipes out the insubordinates.
TX can be taken out, by even as little as ONE T-800 if the T800 powercore bombs it. or straight up blows its head off with other weapons...let alone what'd happen if 8 Arnies steam at once.
T-1000 would be pwned by its creator too, since the creator knows it's weaknesses..... Skynet sprays its ass with liquid nitrogen, keeps it frozen with regular respraying, then has one of those big ass transformers looking bots throw T1000 into space.

The Terminator canon states that time changes everytime Skynet or the Resistence change history.
Judgement Day's date changes all the time depending on those changes.
In Salvation Bale knows that the future he is in is much different then the one described to him.
The only way to stop Judgement Day is to stop technology from ever going too far.
And that has been shown to be course corrective thing...like Skynet is inevitable.....but if it dies before the T-1000 and T-X is made, then logically, its destroyers cannot be created.
Do I need to revise the OP? Do I need to do the whole "wormholes" thing?

The resistance (in the future, obviously, when time travel has been discovered), has somehow captured the TX and the T-1000 and reprogrammed them to go after Skynet. Together the TX and the T-1000, as a team, are sent back in time (Timeline: Terminator: Salvation), to destroy Skynet. Something happens when they are sent back in time, their data is corrupted, and all they remember upon is arriving are two things.
1. Destroy Skynet.
2. They are a team.
Now, Skynet has no idea of the arrival of the TX/T-1000. They have no data on the TX/T-1000. They have only what tech shown in Terminator: Salvation.

We HAVE gone with it... and it still doesn't matter: Paradox still ensues, as long as Skynet is the creator.. Skynet's awareness or nonawareness isn't a factor.
If you were to go back and try to kill your own Grandfather, (Whether he is aware of your trying or not), you couldnt kill, him, as if you did succeed (Which you wouldnt), there wouldnt be anyone to go back and kill him.... see....?
