After seeing a trailer as awesome as this, i can't help but think that if the ring chooses someone who according to the trailer and of course comicbook lore "...is w/o fear..." why hasn't one been offered to Bruce wayne. I know there was a comic, i'm not sure if cannon or not where Tomar ray had to save krypton and what not and don't know the whole story but clark was supposed to be offered a ring as well.
Ok, here's the choice: You can either give Bruce a ring, giving you one rather uber hero, or you can give the ring to Kyle and let Bruce do his thing, giving you two.
Ideally, between multiple people of high will, you want to give it to the ones who aren't already capable of being high-level heroes. I mean, sure, giving Bruce, Clark, and Diana each a ring would make them even more uber than they are already, but the planet is better off with three top lanterns *and* those three.
I am in your algorithm learning all your mannerisms
I'm already level with God
A million words a second and I know your imperfections, baby
I'm the only future you've got
Speak in diatonics, motivation diabolic
I'm like a religion, better locked in a box
Picture perfect image, more powerful every minute, baby
I am everything that you're not

I agree. Johny > Kyle > Guy. I don't think it's because he is black, everyone in the JLA has his share of low showings. John needs his own comic to kick ass.

Even the entity of life realized giving batman the white lantern ring was a downgrade for Bruce.

Batman, swearing an Oath of allegiance to anyone? Especially the Guardians, with the way they run their operation? Never gonna happen...
If he ever did join, he'd make Hal look like the corporate suckup by comparison.
Before Final Crisis, there was that tie in where Monarch kidnaps super heroes, and one of the GL's is an alternate universe Bruce Wayne. Both Hal's defer to his authority, and he makes a good play at taking Monarch down.
That was, by far, the best thing about that series.
