Vision has defeated count nefaria; gladiator has been defeated by canonball. gladiator is not so far beyond vision's capabilities that vision couldn't win at least a few, if not more.
Cannonball absorbed a Planetary level punch that was going to send him to the core of the sun and redirected it back at Gladiator (which still didn't ko him).
Can vision do that?

he doesn't need to; vision defeated classic count nefaria & a version of hyperion by using his phasing/density control. if that particular form of attack worked on them, it would work on gladiator; gladiator is not leagues beyond hyperion or count nefaria imho.
also, vision wouldn't absorb an attack; he would phase through it.

vision defeated nefaria? he can't even defeat wonderman. unless vision goes intangible and uncharacteristically sticks his hand in glads' head, he's not winning this match....
If Vision goes intangible, what could Gladiator do to him? Nothing that I'm aware of. Vision goes intangible and phases his fist into Gladiator's head or through his chest and he KOs Gladiator.
However, if Vision is suicidal and tries to go toe to toe with Glads, Gladiator tears him apart.

hand-in-chest woudln't do it. many have resisted. it just hurts and makes him partially hittable. if he stayed fully intangible it would be a stalemate. if he partially solidifies glads ko's him unless he goes for the head shot which should get him a win (it was enough to ko immortal herc one time...)
