No he doesn't.
EA Steel was able to enter the turf of the Quintessence after they forcefully summoned Superman to them, and he wasn't even scared.
After he first gained the armor, steel was able to act as a conduit to stop Warworld on Our World At War.
EA Steel is far superior to King Thor any day of the week.
