Texas Hold 'em

There are many comic book characters that exhibit traits (heightened senses, telepathy, reading body language, deductive reasoning, mental manipulation, precognition, and strategizing) that would be very useful in a poker game. With that in mind the following characters have been invited to a multiversal poker tournament.

Wolverine
Emperor Palpatine
Sabertooth
Daredevil
Batman
Professor X
Yoda
Jean Grey
Daken
Spiderman
Manchester Black
Thanos
Martian Manhunter
X-23
Emma Frost
Dr. Doom
Cable
Gambit
Darkseid

Tournament Rules are posted at each table to prevent telepaths from having an unfair advantage.
Telepathy can only be used defensively to keep others from reading your mind, probing the minds of others is prohibited.

Which heroes and or villains make it to the final five?
Who wins the tournament?

Here are my final five: Manchester Black, Palpatine, Thanos, Emma, and I'm torn between Doom and Darkseid for the final slot.

poker is a game of lie an deceit, lol, constantine out duel the devil in some kind of game lol...then again, Thanos is not to be fck with either. thanos and john in a head up with Thanos bluffing john out with a king high...weakening john's stack tremendously. realizing he has about 1/5 of thanos chip count....john pulls an all in with Ace high....Thanos.....then.....

The only reason I went with Emma over Prof. X or Manhunter was because of her moral flexibility. I see it basically coming down to who's the smartest cheater among the bad guys.
