You seriously underrate him. All of Darkseid's appearances prior to Final Crisis were weaker avatars. In FC he was collapsing the multiverse just by existing even though he was being reincarnated in a weaker body.

What does that have to do with him taking on Batman or Superman in fc ? Seriously ? Did Darkseid even collapse the room Batman was in before he shot him with radion ? No, his presence wasn't supposed to exist in the dcu and threw it off but this isn't applicable to a combat feat by any stretch of the imagination.
