Movie versions of Alan Moore's two iconic characters duke it out.
Scenario 1: Straight up H2H fight, no weapons. The setting is in the alley where V rescued Evey at the beginning of the movie.
Scenario 2: All out fight, V has his knives. The setting is in Ozymandias's arctic retreat.
Scenario 3: Battle of Intelligence! Would V have been able to discover and thwart Ozymandias's plot before it came into fruition?
Discuss away.

I searched for this thread and came up with a V vs. Rorschach discussion which ended in everyone saying that Rorschach was solidly outclassed and that V was more in Ozy's realm, which is why I made this thread.
I agree with you that Ozy has the edge here but...just saying.

Only one V wins is 3, becuase yes he'd figure it out and unlike Rorschach and Niteowl, he wouldn't try to take him in h2h, he'd just crash a blimp or something into his HQ. *
Ozymandias is sitting in his 'villian'-chair watching his monitors and stroking his pu-Lynx. He switch's the channel on one of the monitor's and lazily peers at it.
'Ah, I see the heros have come to put me in m-HOLY SHIT!! WHAT THE ****!!!!
I hate both these characters, so with complete objectivity I can say Ozy wins.

V can tank bullets. He's really strong (but is he "crush a mans head through 8 inches of a solid marble slab" strong?) V is really smart, but no where even remotely close to being on Ozy's scale. Ozy relaxes to watching 100 stations at once. That's....uber, wtf pwn.
Speed: Ozy.
Strength: Close, but Ozy.
Intelligence: Ozy
Knives: V, obviously.
Agility: Ozy, but this is close.
If V has knives in scenario 2, maybe V. In an all out fight, though, each character would plan ahead as each are smart and schemers. However, V has V beat on every single level in the thinking department so Ozy wins if it is truly and all out fight.

He stood there and got shot by 4-8 (dun remember) men with automatics until they ran out of bullets. Then he blitzed all of them while they were reloading. He had a metal chest plate, but it was clearly penetrated since it was all bloody when he removed it.
Edit: Ok it was 9 armed people. While severely injured, still managed to lift a grown man with one arm. Heres the video

I think Veidt and V are dead on in strength. V is slightly faster. With that said, Veidt may seem superior in his film. IMO, this is because he's a far superior martial artist. Now, Veidt is more intelligent as well. V knows his literature, vocabulary, history, romanticism, etc. But V is more of a Reed Richards like in his smarts. We see him working together with Dr. Manhattan on complex machines. He deals with much better technology and runs a multi-billion dollar corporation.
Scenario 1: Ozymandias 10/10.
Scenario 2: V 6/10.
Scenario 3: I'll say yes, V would discover the plan. He's far ahead of Rorschach in intelligence and just as much capable of doing street detective work. That said, Ozymandias is the smarter individual.
Seriously, compared to Batman in the comics, movie Batman was grotesquely gimped in every single statistical category possible.
And IMO, Veidt has an edge over V in strength.

Well, if my memory serves, Veidt's strength feats seemed to be more impressive.
Smashing Blake through kitchen counters and glass tables, flinging him across the room, and then tossing him through plate glass (which you'd have to "step on the gas just to put a crack in it" ). Seriously, the glass just gave away like a paper-thin layer of ice. And not to mention kicking and throwing Nite Owl and Rorschach 30+ feet across the room in his arctic retreat. Those were all feats that IMO put him above V in the strength department.
V was also hella strong (lifting up a 200+ pound man and casually snapping his neck after being shot to hell) but in terms of feats shown in the movie, I still think Veidt is stronger. But then again, it's been a while since I watched V for Vendetta, so I may have forgotten some of V's strength feats.
