well, i'll still take new sun, but i guess it's interesting. it would depend i guess on how capable she is of controlling her own molecular structure. it would seem by the scans that being in the sun was the first time she felt 'warm'. to me that says she does NOT have control of her own kinetic energy. she's more like a leech, stealing heat--vast, almost boundless amounts--of heat, but still unable to directly control her own kinetic energy.
new sun had complete control over kinetic energy--he should be able to simply cause her to explode in the way gambit himself makes things explode. or he could just rob all of her kinetic energy--in effect speed steal her completely, at which point it would be easy to kill her. he was powerful enough to change himself into energy and travel across dimensions. i don't think she'd have a defense for complete loss of kinetic energy, while a definite case could be made for his being able to counter her control of HIS kinetic energy--ie--i don't think she could freeze him before he rendered her a complete statue, or simply exploded her. /shrug
Leo beat me to it. New Sun was kinetically manipulating the environment rather than projecting heat. He could directly charge your molecules and make you explode. Or freeze you between moments in space/time.
I don't know much about new Killer Frost, but heat absorption alone shouldn't bother him much.
