Not to be a dick, but, what are Shield's powers? Seems like super strength in the OP pic?
Spidey has a proven track record against a wide range of opponents/power sets.

That was against Gorilla Grodd. Shield has the nanotech suit, which makes him immune to telepathy, enhanced speed, strength, senses, and flight. His suit was pretty versatile.

Telepathy's a non factor, so, we're talking a Grodd (ish) strength level flying brick.

Spidey for the majority.

If we were talking MLJ versio of Shield instead of the crappy DC copy then Bill Higgins for a majority.

The original super Soldier (thats right he saw print 8 months before Captai America) had spidey level strengrh, speed and agility. Was inpervious to small arms fire, had a healing factor and was a bloody weĺl trained H2H combatant.

The DC imprint goes down hard

Damn, the original Shield even coined the term Spidey level!
Readers were all confused

No It wasn't "referred to as spidey level". But he could flip armored tanks pretty easily

as well as a lot more.

Was quite acrobatic/ agile

He was shown to be able to work when the air was so low others had passed out. etc etc.

While I'm not fan of the DCU imprint of Shield Spidey certainly isn't stronger

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads...dc_shield_1.jpg

That's an M1 Abrams tank he's lifting. They weigh about 60 tons. Spidey isn't anywhere near that strong. The feat I showed of Classic MLJ shield was an older tank and he used leverage to only lift one side. He was more even to Spidey in strength. The DC one vastly stronger.

He also has the durability edge in a big way.

The guy even sky dives without a parachute
http://static.comicvine.com/uploads..._durability.jpg

Not saying Spidey can't take him (I'm rooting for him for the DC knock off/ purchased rights to use) him. But Stronger Parker most assuredly isn't.

Unless Spidey actually LIFTS the entire tank...

The yank in the spidey scan looks more like a sherman that weigh in at 30 to 34 tons.

Apples for apples

magogs feats are all over the place. There is nothing to my knowledge that actually quantifies his strength level his fight with power girl in my opinion is it an outlier. Besides which elX fighting Y is no way to determine a Stength level. let's face facts Hourman who is only at best a 30/40 toner has fought Black Adam and Despero. Doesnt make him stronger.

He also defeated Gorilla Grodd from what I remember. Grodd has been pretty beastly.

And Grodd has done exactly what strength wise???
Again i ask what does X battling Y have to do with a classification in strength??

Batman has fought and defeated Blockbuster, Solomon Grundy, and other powerful brick. Does that make him their class in strength? NO

Wildcat has also fought guys well out of his weight class in strength and won.

Atom Smasher has fought and matched Black Adam on three occasions who is well above hin in strength. In his case NOT due to strength but due to his ability to also alter his mass.

Hawman whos best strength feats due to Nth metal are a few tons only has fought class 100++ bricks on dozens of occasions.

Spidey has fought and bested Firelord. Black panther's arm bar on SS. Cap America has fought many class 100's. Daredevil has three wins vs Namor.

Using the argument X fought Y to try and quantify anyone in strength in fiction simply doesn't cut it. There is always context to those battles. I see no reason why Spidey couldnt take a majority against Grodd or Magog.

I never said Grodd was stronger than anyone, but he does have a good damage soak under certain writers. He took a hit from the Flash that sent him to another state.
