I'm not sure if mystique can put him down. Dudes damage soak was stupid strong.
On one hand, she's faster and more skilled by a long shot. She's shown to take out entire rooms full of armed guards and get away without a scratch. On the other hand, she doesn't have great damage soak. One good stab from Wolverine took her out.
I give it to Ajax. He can take what she can dish out long enough to seriously hurt her.
Mystique doesn't copy powers at all just physical appearance and voice. Just like in the first Xmen when she copied the look of wolverine but didn't have his healing or metal claws.
She is a good h2h fighter but w/o weapons, Ajax can withstand almost anything she from her.
Talking about imitating Wolverine ,she could try to use those claws she formed. They did cut through a metal chain and a metal box
