Book of Eli: What was the story behind its writing?
I recently watched the Book of Eli again and was wondering about the storyline behind it. It is a strange blend of Hollywood Jackie Chan style antics, apocalypse, and a single bible. I did some brief research and couldn't find much information about the inspiration behind its storyline. It was directed by the 'Hughes brothers' who apparently like making edgy, often violent flicks. Couldn't find much more information but that.
Anyone have any insider information?

None here, but i enjoyed the movie, implausible as it was.
The antagonist could easily have gotten something together without a Bible. Cult leaders do it all the time.
