He does, and he was....
He's a Silver Age Kryp, who does not hold back. Superman defeated Doomsday (a little too late, by his own admission) because he held back.
SBP goes in, all guns blazing from the get-go.

Have to agree. Superboy Prime is probably an order of magnitude stronger than that version of Superman and far more invulnerable.
If you want to make the fight competitive, you need to add a twist or stipulation.
Something like "Prime is made to fight Doomsday, to the death, every day. At the end of each fight, if Prime is the winner, Doomsday's remains are taken to a time acceleration chamber (the entire premise of Doomsday is that he recovers after death and becomes physically stronger), so he can fight Prime the next day.
How many days, weeks, months, or years does it take before Prime and Doomsday fight on relatively even terms? How much time has to pass before Doomsday is strong enough to kill Prime? Is there a point where Doomsday becomes too strong to be killed by Prime in return? Does Doomsday achieve victory by evolving to become successively tougher and stronger, or through some other useful mutation? Etcetera ..."

Thanks!
Always great to get the reasoning behind a pick.

Not really held back, just had never delved into his power that far to battle ever before.

Prime destroys him and rips his head off. doomsday is always a toe 2 toe for average superman. even when superman doesnt hold back like in injustice he is still an even match for him. however prime is on a whole different level. he will destroy doomsday and superman combined.

Prime wins easily. HD DD would be a different fight though
