And thousands of Japanese got killed in Hiroshima. That means that they'd all get killed with the power of Shazam against Wonder Man too. Wonder Man vs 90 thousand Japanese Caps. It sounds mismatched until you realize they were killed by a nuke.

He didn't move while he had his arms wrapped around an obese human sized object while shouting Shazam 3 times. We already saw earlier his lightning blast him in a wider area, or as wide when Supes jumped at him, and we saw him using super speed to avoid the blasts. This time he did not. And he pushed through the shield enough to wrap his arms around it again, the shield wasn't that big anymore. He was almost touching the nuke in the second panel.

So, he either blasted himself 3 times with magic change lightning, which would make the sequence Billy Cap Billy, or he summoned one big bolt that changed him into Billy. The fact that the nuke blew up means that it got hit by the lightning, especially when you see how big the lightning was beside the detonation.

I think the bolts hit simultaneously. If u follow the trail heading upwards, it looks like there are three separates sources. Most likely hit the nuke because no point in hitting Billy or him taking the majority of it considering he was trying to blow the nuke up.

the whole purpose of his sacrifice was that billy was the only one who was both mortal and god-like. he was hit as a human not as marvel.
