Limbo, Champ! Limbo! (All-Time Lowest Showings)

As the title says, looking to chronicle the greatest instances of underachievement in comicdom, relative to what is or was seen as the character's standard level of formidability, strength, fighting prowess, etcetera. Submissions do not have to be considered "canon" today, but should have been in their time, or at least been formally published in official comic book format (ie JLA/Avengers, etcetera).

If you wish, you may also provide a showing proving the low showing of the character IS, in fact, a low showing and not the normal level at which they operate.

Please make sure showings are at least semi-tasteful and appropriate to MOST ages.

Circa: 1987

Comment: In contrast to today, where people are debating if Thor's nearly indestructible magic hammer can survive the sun, even though Thor himself has had close exposure (see Thor versus Sentry, pre "Death Seed" Sentry saga), the debate of yesteryear was whether exposure to space all by itself might not take the hero out!

Started with a Thor showing, followed by a Superman showing. Off to a good start. I expect great things from this thread.
