These are two separate scenarios right? If so, Bishop hands bane his own ass in the first fight and potentially wins the second if he's allowed to absorb energy.

you'd need to disallow absorption in the second to give bane a chance in either. bane can take a lot of punishment though so maybe not easy, or at least various levels of difficulty.

has bishop shown to be able to absorb and survive edged weapons though? i'm sure i've seen it, but been a while if i have...

^^^Not sure if Bishop’s durability, he’s one if those all iver the place characters.
He just got taken out by a lamp, i believe, to the back of the head, in a recent comic.

Part of it was because his mask hid some damage, but yeah.

Plus, it was 500 bricks, and Junior had super strength iirc.

Chalk it up to the writers forgetting how the powers of the characters work.
