Talking strictly pre 52.
Nth Metal does have advantages over Vibrainium. Both absorb energy though Nth doesnt do as well vs kinetic energy as Vibrainium it does better vs energy projection and heat (niether of which BP uses). Nth also grants a healing factor. It enhances strength a little more than the hear shaped herb does for Tchalla (4 to 5 ton vs 1 to 2 based on limo toss feat of Bp). It also enhances his senses a little more than BP's hsh.
On stats HM has a slight edge. In skill I'd say it swings the other way.
All comes down really to how much weight you put on the knowledge HM has from the absorbascon that loaded all earth knowledge and language (including birds) into his head.
