Yeah, he's probably one of the characters I am most keen on seeing brought into the MCU in the future. Even the Fox Marvel version, over a decade after Rise of the Silver Surfer, easily remains one of the most powerful live-action adaptions of a comic book character to date. Because not only did he have power on a massive scale (the Galactus killer, those massive holes he was making all over the Earth), he had great versatility as well, considering he could also phase (including through Sue's forcefields), and perform molecular/biological manipulation, like scrambling Johnny's molecules and healing Sue's mortal injuries. And Doom was blasting off mountain pieces, creating cosmic energy spears and generating large water spirals, and he was a noob, so it's probably safe to assume the vastly more experienced Surfer could also do those things.

Due to enjoying the cartoon I remember being really excited Surfer was gonna be in a movie and then the movie was...yeah, we all know what happened. Though yeah he was still quite powerful in the movie.
He can phase so he's untouchable. That's pretty much that. And they can't knock him off his board. It took two super geniuses to create a device that could do it. Maybe if given prep time Strange could come up with a way, but he doesn't have that.

Yeah, as I've mentioned in other threads before, the 2005/2007 F4 movies were not great, but the characters were all quite powerful actually. Even a noob Johnny Storm could casually throw out blasts that could engulf large areas. Notice him (the tiny glowing spec in the top left corner at the end) vs the size of what he lights up.

And we're explicitly told what would happen to all life on the planet if he went all out. Pity the second movie was so bad. The first one was still kind of fun in a campy way, though I imagine it's probably aged poorly.
But yeah, Surfer is nearly always going to be a big game changer on whichever side he is.

Team Fox due to what Vault, Surtur, and others supporting them have said: Surfer is too much. Even if Mags gets taken out before he starts hurling metal at the MCU team and even if Apoc can't matter manipulate team MCU quick enough before getting impaled multiple times by Hela or getting his head lopped off by Stormbreaker Thor, Surfer has too much on his side in terms of raw and hax power for Team MCU to best.
