Burning Godzilla
King Ghidorah
Godzilla
Mecha Godzilla
Charged Axe Kong
Female MUTO/MUTO Prime
Kong no charge
Kong no axe
Male MUTO
I put Burning Godzilla on top for obvious reasons, King Ghidorah takes second place because he would have beaten Godzilla in KotM without the burning amp, even though that's closer a fight than most want to admit, as Godzilla was going to win halfway through the movie before the fvcking muggles ruined everything.
The MUTOs are lower in power than most others but have a specific parasitic relationship with Godzilla's species that lets them punch above their weight class, MUTO prime killed Dagon in the comics.
Even with the fully charged Axe Kong didn't give Godzilla as much trouble as the paired MUTOs or Ghidorah or Mecha G did. Mecha G sits below Godzilla because we only got to see him against two tired and injured titans and Godzilla, due to more screen time, just straight up has better feats.

I think Kong should be above the MUTO’s. Like you said they have an advantage against Godzilla’s species as they’ve evolved specifically to fight them and lay their eggs in them.
I think mecha g should be higher as well. True, Godzilla and Kong weren’t at 100%, but he completely destroyed Godzilla and almost beat the two of them at the same time if the humans didn’t interfere. So even though they weren’t at 100% that’s still really impressive. He’d probably be equal to or better than Godzilla. He was designed specifically to kill titans so it’d make sense for him to be #1. But since we don’t know how weakened Godzilla and Kong were we can’t say for certain.

With the charged axe I did put him above them, but the axe is just as much of a "punch above my weight class" plot device as the MUTOs being goji parasites, so, without it, I put him below the female.

Double posting because the edit function seems to be broken for me.
Mechagodzilla's durability wasn't great, with how easily the axe tore him up I don't think Godzilla's breath would have had any trouble at all. They're the same energy, a fresh godzilla would've won pretty solidly, imho.

Yeah this article with the director really damages Kong's standing relative to Godzilla.
He acknowledges that two things were done to give kong better odds. The Hong Kong fight was designed to give Kong a better chance by making the buildings even taller. So it would be like an ape maneuvering through a jungle. And the axe of course. Because Wingard felt Godzilla's durability was simply too high without it.
But the article still acknowledges that he lost in Hong Kong even with those provisions. No mention of a mythical round 3 after round 2 like some fools are saying. All of that hong kong fight was round 2.
That's only if the satellite connection allowing Ghidorah to basically be himself in MechaG's body is severed. He had the axe before Bernie and the kids destroyed the uplink and was still beating down both Kong and Zilla.

This except I don't really think Kong needs to be broken down that many times. He would work the female Muto something fierce without the axe imo. To fast.
