Srank was right. Mid is nothing special, as proven when fighting a powerless street level sidekick... who - omg - Mid specifically prepped for and still was given a run for his money. Pathetic.

Mid may be a big badass in the Wildstorm Universe, but anyone worth a damn from the core DC Universe or Marvel can obliterate him with no effort.

Besides, Gorgon is capable of besting A-tier streets, as proven time and time again.

Midnighter just happened to luck out and be involved in a great series. The character was fairly forward thinking at the time, and I do applaud the LGBT representation he brings, but his archetype is just a generic badass edgelord.

All DC did was highlight that, by taking away the story quality.

Granted, I'm not defending Gorgon. Midnighter did feel like a more complete human when written at his best at least. Gorgon was moreso meant to be the big threat type of villain, rather than one you personally can identify with.

Are you talking about Orlando's series? That was one of the best books on the shelf that year, IMO. Great art, great story.
