I've seen both, but at the end of it, Bloodline is a Tekken 3 retelling. If we get right down into it, it comes down to wether or not Jin can survive Ryu's bigger attacks, and considering that he survives Heihachi's gunshot to his face, I think thta he can. Which means he meay overwhelm Ryu in the counterattack.
If this were later, more developed iterations of Ryu, he may have stood a better chance.
