Plot: The movie is about two young witches: Elphaba, whose skin is green, and Glinda, who is blonde and beautiful. They dislike each other at first but soon form an unlikely bond. The musical follows them from their girlhood friendship and explains how Elphaba became the Wicked Witch and Glinda became the Good Witch.
Has anyone seen this yet? I found it to be a thoroughly exhilarating spectacle that adds a mesmerizing level of emotional complexity to a fantastical tale and presents it with a dazzling display of talented theatrics and thespianism. Definitely a 9.5/10
Watched it with my wife, she was really into it, I thought it was a mixed bag, buy overall more positive than negative. The scenery was excellent, Erivo and Grande were both good and some of the music was enjoyable, but some of it was not.
