Hmm. Crimson Tide as ok but was rather full of itself. Also, it';s closing comment scared the crap out of me, and it was meant to make me feel better!
For those who don;t know, the final comment said that individual captains are no longer responsbile for the final decsions on nuclear launch, the President is.
Great! So in the film, the missiles WOULD have been launched because no-one on the crew would have had the authority to not launch them!
