I went to see Final Fantasy last night and they had a Planet of the Apes trailer along with all the other stupid commercials they put before movies. The trailer seemed pretty cool and made me want to go watch the original again. The one thing I'm thankful for is that they didn't play that stupid Pepsi commercial with that weird little girl. Instead they used the Britney Spears commercial. big grin

OK, meaning nothing to me, we don't have either of those commercials in the UK.

Nice trailer, has some neat additional stuff. Great space shots of the astronauts launching plus some new ape stuff and a lovely sound track.

Tim Burtons work whilst always working on a single style is always wonderful. He maanages to emphasise the true emotive sense of the environment he creates as well as highlight the darkness in all things. The PLanet of the apes trailer and pre-film interviews show that it looks like it will be a good film. The apes themselves look superbly done. OF course this is all pre-emptive as until the film is out it is unwise to get hopes up in case of disappointment, but still it looks good. By the way what did you think of Final Fantasy, the only thing I could say was that I was very impressed and definitely enjoyed it. There were a couple of points where you could see the CG-ness of it but the film did step beyond this...
