Spider-Man vs A Sentinel
Not sure if this is a good match-up, but it sound fairly even. What if a Sentinel tried to capture Spidey? Could Spider-Man bring it down. Why or why not?

yes he could......... and he has, several sentinels in fact
during the onslaught story the sentinels were to capture or kill all anomalous humans and pete (out of costume and unidentified as spider-man.... and having his powers switch on and off due to recent plot lines) was trying to get pregnant MJ to safety, put her down and went against the sentinels (as he had no choice now that they were after him) he dodged around them slamming them into buildings and each other
later he met up with "spider-man" ben reilly who, having no power problems was fighting the sentinels himself
they used various tactics against them including
a) throwing man hole covers through their heads
b) ripping them apart with bare hands..... not advisable
c) ripping the head off, attaching webbing and using it to batter other sentinels
d) webbing them together
so, yeah............. he could easily take out a single sentinel

Spidey can definitely handle himself against a Sentinel (we are talking about normal sentinels here aren't we.).
IF it is an Omega Sentinel, that would adapt itself to Spidey's powers in seconds, then Spiderman would be finished. There is really nothing much Spidey could do against an Omega sentinel, apart from run and hope he manages to elude them.
But if it is the normal giant sentinels then Spidey could definitely bring one (or even two) down with considerable ease.
