The search buttion didnt show this having been done before, so here goes. If NIhilus had no force eating skill and Sion couldn't come back after he died, who would win.

I'd say that Sion would be a better saber duelist. After all, he did lead the Sith Assassins. . . . but Nihilus might have an advantage in Force power and such. pretty good thread Glentract.

sion, the exile pwned the crap out of nhilus so amazingly easily it wasn't funny but had a tougher time with sion even just once.

Your first argument was good; gameplay stats don't matter. Some people, depending on how they leveled their character, may have had more difficulty with Nihilus than Sion.
Nihilus has this, IMO. If Sion didn't come back, I would've killed him my very first time on Korriban without a lightsaber. Nihilus holds his own against the Exile, Visas, and Mandalore. He was able to paralyze all three at least for a few seconds. Next, he pushed Kreia around and she could barely use the Force, but I don't know if that falls under his eating technique or not. I don't think so, if he tries to eat the Exile, it looks like Force drain and the cutscene where he stopped Kreia from using her powers, he didn't use drain. He also force choked Visas but I don't think that would be too hard... Still, I think Sion would go down pretty quick.

Again, no gameplay experience is credible enough to put down for reasons. Instead, let's go with what we DO know...
- We DO know that Sion was a Sith apprentice before the Jedi Civil War, at least. He escaped the destruction of the academy on Korriban.
- We DO know that Sion is hard enough to take out a whole Republic ship with his tw-bit cronies alone. Mind you, his Sith assassins only draw on other Force sensitives, so for them to be of any use onboard, he had to be a virtual well of power.
- We DO know that Nihilus received most if not all of his knowledge and training from Kreia. Since Sion learned from her and from other sources, Sion has the one-up in the knowledge department.
- We DO know that Sion was very very active compared to Nihilus, who drifted around past the Outer Rim, as Visas describes.
- We DON'T know exactly how good either are compared to the Exile in raw lightsaber skill, nor do we know the lightsaber styles of anyone in the KOTOR games. And don't tell me that BS about how even consulars can learn up to Soresu... don't cut it. That's a gameplay mechanism in order to make teh game more interesting. Slightly off topic, what Obsidian should have done was make all characters practice Shii Cho for awhile and then have to choose what style from then on and have to master it or leave it. The lightsaber system should have been more complex, involving, and looked different.
Anyways, back on topic now... The Exile beat Nihilus. Visas may have helped, but I doubt she was able to help much... she was pretty much petrified of Nihilus and afraid for the Exile's life. Mandalore? You've got to be kidding. He may have been hard in the Mandalorian Wars, but I doubt again how much a non-Force user can contribute in this fight. But anyways, the point that the Exile had backup at this point doesn't prove anything, but it does slightly undermine his ability when matched against Nihilus directly, since we can't make a one on one comparison.
I mean, we know that Revan beat Malak one on one. There is no other way that fight could have ended.
We don't know how well the Exile fared against Nihilus if he was only by himself.
Meh, back to Sion... Sion did fight the Exile one on one, but the fight was lost with Sion's will being sapped from him, and not from superior skills. I mean, Sion can't really be killed unless he's given up. Even if you try and make it so he'll drop on the first try, he's still not like any other opponent... He can withstand physical abuse better than nihilus can. I mean, Nihilus dissolves after the Exile beats him.
Yes, but this is Sion that doesn't regenerate. I rarely use game dynamics, since they don't mean much, but it's way easier to beat Bandon than Malak. The same would be true for Sion (one death) than even Nihilus with your companions' help.
Still, We really don't know where Sion learned anything except Trayus academy, I don't think we can fairly give the knowledge to him. Besides, Nihilus did paralyze the Exile, Visas, and Mandalore. Sion couldn't. All in all, we know so little of these characters that game dynamics almost have to be used to try and gauge their powers. With or without game dynamics, I think Nihilus has this pretty easily.

Are you sure that Canderous didn't do anything against Nihilus. Many people, including you, have included Revan killing Mandalore as a testament of his power. He is definatly better than the average Jedi Council Member of that time. I would argue that he is the third most powerful person in the KOTOR 2 party, following the Exile and then Kreia. Canderous, being the righthand man of the Mandalore Revan killed has probably fought off a lot of Jedi. He did more than you are stating in the fight against Nihilus.

He can use melee weapons also. That what I have always had him use in the game. Using duel Vibroswords with a cortosis weave can do a lot against Nihilus.

I agree with Glentract, Janus often underestimates strong non-Force users. Jango did really well against Obi, and killed several Jedi before that. Atton did too, so did Canderous, HK-47, and so many others. Canderous is one of the strongest non-Force users out there and lived after the fight with Nihilus and so many others.

Sion is an idiot. He may be powerful but he's dim whitted. The Exile persuaded him without the force to kill himself. Nihlius is extremely smart and wise so he could easilly do what the exile did even quicker and without ease.
Nihilus has this, in his duel with the exile he didn't even use his force eating and was against mandalore and visas aswell. Whereas the first time you kill sion took me about 7 attacks. Nihilus would surely win this
