Thanos vs classic Thor, with a twist

Thor has his belt of strength and Iron Gloves. Does this give him an edge to at least give Thanos a fight?

Definitely. Despite his rep, Classic Thor on his own has scored wins over Thanos - check the Mighty Thor respect thread for evidence. Thor justs needs to use his head.

No he dosen't. Thanos just needs to forget to use his.

Thor dosen't need the belt anymore, so that means nothing. The only time Thor scored a desicive win agienst the mad titan was when Thanos allowed himself to become embroiled in a fight and stupidly let Thor clock him with his hammer. If he just obliterated him when he had the chance, there would be no fight.

Thanos has been upgraded since then, and it doesnt really matter what thor uses, if thanos wants to win he will, thor isnt smart enough to defeat thanos.

what about the time when thanos had the infinity gauntlet... and was only using the power gem and thor was still kicking the crap out of him??? i remember that one too... despite thanos being infinitly stronger, he still was no match for thor...

thor often holds back and fights on his opponents level. its part of his warrior code.
