Well, if he just remained intangible the whole time, he could just fry them with his heat beam without suffering any damage whatsoever. He could also phase through the tougher opponents (i.e. Luke Cage).

Well, he still has the ability to completely solidify himself, which would allow him to outmuscle the others. However, this might also leave him vulnerable to a sneak-attack from Batman or Deathstroke, who may find a way to disrupt the Vision's systems.
