Thanos is one of the most badass characters in all of comics. Here's my favorite quote from his fight with Tyrant.
Thanos: Ummm, alone at last
Tyrant: Apparently how you intended, why?
Thanos: I would think it obvious, I intend to steal this bauble. You will try to stop me. And we will discover which of us is the mightier.
Tyrant: Such impudence will only bring you death!
Thanos: I have already known death, she no longer wants me.
Now that is badass
