Odds for Da Vinci Code Opening Weekend Gross Sales

Wagerweb.com Posts Odds for Da Vinci Code Opening Weekend Gross Sales

San Jose, Costa Rica – May 11, 2006 – WagerWeb.com , one of the Internet’s largest and most trusted wagering sites, posted odds today offering bettors a chance to predict the opening three-day weekend total gross sales for “Da Vinci Code.” Wagerweb.com, which has taken more than 50,000,000 bets since its creation, is known for offering odds on the hottest issues fueled by the news media. Recently, Wagerweb.com gained national attention for its offering of odds for the Duke Lacrosse Players’ DNA results and trial outcomes, how many Hurricanes would hit the U.S. this year, as well as who will win the top rated TV show, American Idol.

“With a flood of controversy surrounding this movie and nonstop chatter on the Net and the news, our players can’t wait to wager,” says Dave Johnson, CEO of Wagerweb.com. “We think the opening weekend movie gross can go either way based on the whims of moviegoers,” Johnson adds. Senior Vatican officials are urging a boycott while activists in countries like India and Jordan are calling for an all out ban of the film.

The odds for Da Vinci Code’s three-day opening weekend total box office sales are as follows:

More than $65 million USD
-110 (Bet $110 to win $100)

Less than $65 million USD
-110 (Bet $110 to win $100)

About WagerWeb
WagerWeb.com, founded in 1997, is a privately held, offshore online gaming company, fully licensed and located in San Jose, Costa Rica. With almost 10 years of experience, innovation and gaming technology, Wagerweb.com features a sportsbook, a racebook and casino and has accepted more than 50,000,000 wagers since the company’s launch.

..and when hype leads to misconception, you get poor ticket sales. After this weekend, and everyone sees the movie, it'll plummet.

Yeah, thats my bet. Hype will get it past its first weekend. Bad reviews will lead it to its doom.

ive never understud the hype for this movie, it always sounded bad from the get go. and ron howard and tom hanks, while good, dont seem like the best choices at all for this project.

I actually have to say the movie is really good and I highly recommend you see it. The acting great, what you would expect form Tom Hanks, the story, as we all know, is a brillinat one and the only thing I can say bad about it is some of the scenes are dragged out abit. Otherwise, go see it!!!

I have an unreasonable hate for The DaVinci Code....it's weird...but I so totally do not want to watch this movie....or even be in the same room with someone that knows someone that has seen someone who watched that movie.....

Garbage. The book is utter garbage, so I'm not interested in watching garbage presented in a different medium as it would still be garbage. Garbage.

Instead, I'm thinking of watching some porn.

I'd even say garbage.....but I didn't read the book, so my judgment is kind of....yeah......still it must be garbage...there'S no way this could be good.

Trust me, it's utter garbage. Dan Brown is as bad as Clive Cussler. I have read one Dan Brown, and I shall read no more. The same goes for Cussler. They're both garbage.

Maybe if they worked together they could create something so bad that it is good again...or the Universe collapses....I think they should risk it....

I think they should volunteer for limb amputation, so they never inflict us with their garbage again.

Why volunteer....forcing them seems like so much more fun.

I believe in the power of redemption, Bardock. I honestly believe that if they both think about it hard enough, then they will realise that they are both garbage, and will then agree that the only way out of this mess is through voluntary limb amputation. It's the power of human nature, Bardock. The power of human nature.

You are an idealist. It makes me feel all proud in my heart.

I live to dream my dreams that become real. If we could all channel the powers of dreams, then there would be no need for gas, as we could amputate all the garbage people and use their fossilic gases to make rainbows of natural energy. This, I believe, is what Ahmadinejad is trying to do. I honestly think he has captured Dan Brown, and is currently trying to feed him through a giant pipe the leads into a nuclear reactor. Once inside, he will be given a type-writer and from this his garbage can be channeled to fuel the cars that we all eat. It is my dream.
