Kyle destroys Kyp in a duel, but the reverse would apply for a Force battle. In an all-out setting, I'd have to give it to Durron; when under Kun's control, when his full power at the time could be manipulated by a master of the Force, he tore the Suncrusher from the depths of Yavin. During the NJO series, he took control of several dovin basal-generated black holes, a feat accomplished by only one other: Luke.
Then there's the fact that, like many NJO Jedi, he uses the Force offensively in fairly extreme ways. This is where I see him overpowering Katarn (with difficulty) and taking the fight, although he could definitely lose if Kyle manages to trap in a saber duel.
