The Living Monolith (in his 50 foot tall pre-ascension power level).
Fight takes place in post-nuclear assault Metropolis.
Scenario:
Superman's in a coma after trying to disarm 5 nuclear devices in Metropolis set to go off simultaneously by Intergang. He fails and the shock of all those people dying plus the a particular energy signature in the fallout put him in a catatonic state as a side effect of Torqasm Vo. Batman and Nightwing arive in the Batjet to try and sift through the rubble and look for clues. Cyborg is there also using his scanners to look for any survivors of the explosion. A transdimensional rift is caused by Superman's prolonged exposure to the radiation and draws the following Avengers into the DCU:
Captain America, Spiderman, Luke Cage, Wolverine, and Spiderwoman
as they were fighting the Living Monolith on a rampage in London.
Upon entering the DCU Monolith begins absorbing the fallout from the terrorist attack and grows to his functional pre-living planet stage (50 feet tall, organic stone, energy powers, etc). Also, at the same time, Superman is being siphononed away into the rift and dispersed which is causing the rift to grow. Complete dispersal will take place in 1 hour and 52 minutes. The only way to close the rift is to force the Monolith back into to absorb the energies.
Can the assembled heroes defeat the Living Monolith and force him back into the rift within the hour?
