*curses randomly under his breath* If I hate comics for anything, it's this perversion of a perfectly good physics concept. Entropy is a statistical measure of how far the equalization of a thermodynamic system (I.E., a universe) has progressed.
It is not some uber, be all, end all deus ex machina to explain some fictional being's ultimate power.
The destruction was brought about by Entropy, Parallax's actions were just a catalyst for this. It wasn't his personal power that directly wiped out reality, he just applied his power to the conjunction point in time where the beginning meets the end in order to get Entropy to wipe out reality for him.
If he was that powerful he could have wiped out reality himself directly. Instead he had to make use of a power far greater than his own.
