Only one of the characters needs to be comic, as long as the other doesn't have a forum of it's own (i.e. not anime or star wars.)

" If they don't have a comic at all, they aren't allowed, but MANY characters have at least short series and such, so this should allow for some flexibility."

In the movie, he wacks a bunch of humans, but in the end he gets defeated by a fallen king!

Shoot, Captain America or Batman could Sauron with ease.

I can't imagine what Mephisto would do.
