Kisame- Kisame is a former member of Kirigakure's Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, an ever-changing group of ninja that wield particularly large weapons in battle.[2] While in Kirigakure, Kisame is known to have formed a connection to Suigetsu Hozuki and his brother. His former country, the Land of Water, now seeks him out for plotting to overthrow its government and being involved in numerous assassinations.[3] Kisame would later join Akatsuki and be partnered with Itachi Uchiha.
Kakuzu- The story of how Kakuzu came to walk a life of infinite time begins back in the days that the Shinobi villages were formed around the world... As an elite ninja from Takigakure (the Village Hidden Amongst Waterfalls), Kakuzu took on a mission to assassinate the Hokage. This mission, however, ended in failure before the might of the secret Mokuton jutsu. Despite the insurmountable danger faced in the mission, that which awaited upon his return to his village was the stigma and harsh punishment associated with failure. In repose to this treatment, a wrong levied against a shinobi who had put life and limb on the line for his village, Kakuzu came to hold a violent hatred as he escaped from imprisonment. And in his flight from the village, Kakuzu took with him its most prized forbidden jutsu, and along with it every last one of the village elders' hearts...

Itachi- A genius above all others, Itachi was born into the Uchiha Clan and praised by all as the best of his generation. However, not even his family, friends, or teachers could understand him.
Not much is known about Itachi's childhood, only that at age 4 Itachi had already witnessed countless lives lost due to war, which emotionally traumatized and affected his demeanor. It is also known that he graduated from the ninja academy after only one year. At age 7 he graduated from the Academy and mastered the Sharingan at age 8, passing the Chunin exam at age 10 and becoming ANBU Captain at age 13. At some point he got a lover, that he killed during the Uchiha clan massacre.[10]
He was praised highly by his father, who saw the family's future in Itachi and neglected his other son-- Itachi's little brother Sasuke. However, during this time Itachi showed great affection towards Sasuke, and even encouraged his father to come to the Academy when Sasuke was enrolled, something their dad had otherwise forgotten, by saying that he would otherwise not come on a mission.
After having acted strange for a long time, not coming to the clan meetings and refusing to train with Sasuke, it would finally seem that he snapped. With the help of Madara's teachings (and possibly the help from Madara himself), he slaughtered his entire clan overnight (with the exception of Sasuke). Due to the fact that Sasuke was never to know about the Uchiha's attempt at a coup d'etat and the Konoha higher ups's orders, Itachi used his Mangekyo Sharingan to capture Sasuke in a genjutsu and show him how he had killed everyone. After this Sasuke ran away, but Itachi confronted him again and explained that he did it all to test himself. He also explained that the new eyes he had acquired could also be acquired by Sasuke and all he had to do was to kill his best friend. Telling Sasuke that he let him live because he had the potential to become as strong as him, he also tells him to hate him and detest him, if he ever wanted a chance of defeating him.
Deidara- Deidara was originally from Iwagakure, although he readily abandoned the village for the opportunity of using his "art" more frequently. Deidara became an assassin bomber for hire, not caring who he worked with so long as he could use his artwork. Sometime after Orochimaru left the organization Akatsuki, Deidara was located by Itachi Uchiha, Kisame Hoshigaki, and Sasori, who were under the orders of the leader Pain to recruit him. Although, at first, Deidara refused, he quickly got into a small confrontation with Itachi, where Itachi forced Deidara to join by almost fooling Deidara into killing himself with his own clay explosives via genjutsu. Deidara, having been forced into Akatsuki and taking a huge blow to his ego, carried a loathing for Itachi throughout all of his time in Akatsuki, though he was intelligent enough to recognize Itachi as a more powerful opponent.
Deidara might be weaker, but when he is on a bird he isn't. If Gaara's sand couldn't get him down and out, what makes you think Kakuzu's blasts could get him down and out?
Comeback with something better if it's laughable/pathetic.
Deidara on his bird is way fast. It outran Gaara's sand, and it can obviously outrun the blasts of Kakuzu's. Kakuzu's iron body jutsu can be resistant to so many things, but how long would it last? Deidara blow up a clone on Kakuzu, and if his iron body lasts, while he is destracted, Deidara would use any of his 5 clay bombs to blow up his hearts/masks, and that would be the end of Kakuzu. Deidara would use microscopic bomb to blow up Kakuzu.
Only Deidara is probably the slowest Akatsuki we've seen and he can't injure Kakuzu when he's in his iron form aaaand it takes him a split second to activate it.
Deidara is no where near being the slowest of the Akatsuki. Hidan not only admitted it, but proved it. He swings a sythe super slow. You must be joking thinking Deidara is slow.
