The team has 1 year of prep to devise something to defeat galactus.They are not allowed to acquire existing artifacts of power i.e. IG,UN,HOTU,CC etc...

Thats the thing if it's in character yea he loses hard because he jobs hard.If it's too the best of his abilities he knew they were coming a year ago and has all ready done something that completely nuetralizes them using tech or any number of powers he has.
