Acronyms and Initialisms.

I am tired of seeing so much "jargon" being thrown around on the forums with the abbreviation stuff.

I am making a list of common acronyms and initialisms that are oriented towards KMC discussions.

Please add to this list as much as you possibly can.

Thread components:

OP - Opening post. The first post in a thread. This is used much more often in versus threads because the OP creates the thread rules, involved characters, environment, and other elements. The OP can have just one rule in it that changes the entire dynamics of a versus discussion. OPs in versus threads should be constructed with a large amount of consideration. This will prevent the thread from being closed for being "inadequate or against the rules."

Plot and Character story elements:

PIS - Plot induced stupidity. For example, Yamamoto, Captain Commander from Bleach, failing to use his Bankai and end all of the Espada's and Aizen's lives, immediately when they appeared in the fake town. In fact, all the high-level captains that did not use their bankai would be a perfect example of PIS. I also consider PIS to be stupid plot writing. For instance (pun), King Kai, in Dragonball Z, states that he knew the instant transmission technique, to Goku, only in the Anime. If that were the case, he could have saved Goku, easily, from the exploding planet Namek.

CIS - Character induced stupidity. For example, Cyclops puts a mental limit on his optic blast's power. This has lead to some really stupid "x-men lost" scenarios. Another really good example is Spider-man pulling his punches so he doesn't punch a bad guy's head off (if they are humans). Another is Batman refusing to kill the Joker, despite the fact that he knows Joker will escape prison and kill more people.

Naruto:

VotE - Valley of the End. This is where Naruto and Sasuke had their fight major fight. It was right towards the end of the pre-time skip that this fight occured. The valley was created from the fight between Madara (main Naruto antagonist) and Hashirama (the first kage of Konoha referred to as the First Hokage.)

MS - Mangekyô Sharingan. This is the final "release" for a user with their original sharingan. The sharingan is a special "genetically inherited ability" (referred to as a kekkei genkai, in the series) that allows various things such as controling the 9-tailed fox, time-space warping, and other advanved techniques. As with a regular sharingan, users of this tech slowly lose their vision, but with the MS, the vision loss occurs at a faster rate that a three tomoe Sharingan.

EMS - Eternal Mangekyô Sharingan. This is an even further form the MS (see above for MS) which, as the name implies, is eternal, meaning, the user will not lose their vision. Some speculate that it gives you immortality and, indeed, the anime takes this stance. It was never confirmed in the manga, however, but Itachi does call Madara "immortal". As Kento has pointed out, this could simply be a reference to Madara's power rather than actual immortality. (Such as, "This guy is called the immortal samurai because he has never lost a duel!)

IT - Infinite Tsukuyomi. This is the final and most powerful form of the sharingan. It will, supposedly, put the entire world under an illusion called a genjutsu, and Madara will be able to control the entire world.

Dragonball/Z/GT:

IT - Instant Transmission. This is Goku's teleportation technique. It is said to be light speed, but it is much faster than light speed.

GD - Genki Dama. This is "spirit bomb" in English. It is a technique used to gather the ki energy from living beings. It is "ultra concetrated" and even a little bit is capable of massive destruction (up to planatary scale).

DBZ - Dragonball Z

DB - Dragonball

DB:GT - Dragonball: Grand Tour.

HBTC/HTC - Hyperbolic Time Chamber. A room in which one day outside the room equals 1 year inside the room. The air is denser and gravity is higher.

TRoSaT - The Room of Time and Spirit. Same exact room as the above, but a different, more literal, translation from the original Japanese.

SSJ - Supa Saiya-jin. Refers to the first level release of those that have Saiyan blood. This powerful form puts their strength and power at at least 50 times greater than their most powerful base form (and much much higher at perfected levels.) This was originally intended to be the ultimate form but money made Toriyama write many many PIS and CIS components to his work than the already heavily laden idiotic elements...but I still love him for his work.

ASSJ- Ascended Supa Saiya-jin. This is just like the SSJ but there is not nearly as a dramatic increase of power over the base form for a Saiyan. However, at these power levels, even a double or a tripling (as was stated of the ASSJ) of the SSJ powerlevel is an gigantic increase in power.

FPSSJ - Full-power Supa Saiya-jin. Considered the "perfected" form of the SSJ, it is superior in power, speed, strength, and endurance over the ASSJ. It works by making the SSJ state feel natural and by basically running in an ultra-efficient manner (little to no leak in ki). For example, Vegeta is not able to fight against Perfect Cell after obtaining the ASSJ. Even after training a second time in the HBTC, he is not able to fight against Perfect Cell. However, Goku is almost evenly matched with Perfect Cell after obtaining the FPSSJ form.

USSJ - Ultra Supa Saiya-jin. The strongest and "most ki" form of the first SSJ form. It is marked by having very large muscles. The high Ki and strength output, however, takes a loss in the speed department. So much so that characters with less strength and speed can easily beat on the USSJ. This is my favorite form of of the SSJ.

SSJ2 - Supa Saiya-jin 2. The is the second form of the SSJ. The ascension in speed strength and power is the same as from base form to SSJ: consider that the ASSJ was reported as being 3 times stronger than the SSJ. Then the FPSSJ is several times stronger than that. The SSJ2 is several times stronger than the FPSSJ: even more then the FPSSJ is stronger than the ASSJ. This has led me to conclude that the SSJ2 form is in the ballpark of 40-50 times stronger than the SSJ form. (SSJ*3=ASSJ. ASSJ*3=FPSSJ. FPSSJ*5=SSJ2. 3*3*5=49)

SSJ3 - Supa Saiya-jin 3. The ultimate canon form. This form has the most drastic change in appearance to the Saiyan. Just powering up to this form is enough to violently shake the entire earth. The power level is so strong that it can be felt all the way across the universe on the Kai's planet.

LSSJ - Legendary Supa Saiya-jin. This is a non-canon SSJ form seen only in the movies. It is not canon. Broly is the user. This form seems to have limitless ki and it continues to grow until the user dies, according to the original legend. This is seen somewhat with Broly, but he never dies from being consumed by too much power. It looks like the form of the USSJ but experiences no loss in speed. It has every bit as much power, if not more so, than the USSJ form.

IC - Imperfect Cell. Cell's first 'adult' form.

SPC - Semi-Perfect Cell. Cell's form after having absorbed Android 17.

PC - Perfect Cell. Cell's form after having absorbed both Android's 17 and 18. This was Dr. Gero's original intentions with Cell's body.

PWPC - Power Weighted Perfect Cell. Also called "super perfect cell" by people such as myself and others here on KMC. This is a more powerful "learned" form of Cell after he blows himself up. Because of his Saiyan genes, he is able to revive himself back stronger than ever. With this form, he learned IT, as well. Probably one of the biggest BS writing moments in all of Manga history. It definitely violates the first law of thermodynamics: conservation of mass and energy (generating a more energy containg body from only a single cell? HA! Where did the energy come from? Where did the mass come from?)

One Piece

OP - One Piece. The manga and anime series. Confused for "OP" by myself and other newbs.

This is only the beginning. I want to expand each list and add others. I plan to make a list of One Piece stuff, with your, the KMC posters, help. We need Bleach, as well. Prolly some other things, too. I will continue to update the list. Anytime someone asks a question of some weird acronym of initialism, they can be linked to the current list. I know I've been pissed about the silly discussions which contain so many acroynms and initialisms, at times, that it can be near impossible to determine what each one means.

What I'm tired of seeing is redundant statements like this.

It was to illustrate my strong distaste for the LSSJ wankery that happens on the boards. If I could have without sounding butthurt, I would have said it a third time. lulz

I've seen every single one of them, at one point. Not sure about most of the DBZ ones as I had those discussions on other boards.

I know I'm missing a lot of Bleach and OP ones, though.

That's more general internet, though.

And, how dare you!

I say if people are too stupid to piece together what half of these things mean, they should suffer for their idiocy!

That said, does Madara use IT or IT?

Although there are quite a few that I never come across.

There's a KMC wiki?

Where?

I'd love to put that list, there.

There may actually be multiple KMC wikis. I say this because I know of one that was started by members who frequent the Video Games Versus subforum, and I don't recall Astner being a frequent poster in that area.

That being said, the KMC wiki I speak of can be found right here. Right now it's a little inactive and heavily focused on information for video game characters, but go ahead and register and I can talk to the Wiki owner (ScreamPaste) about expanding it to cover most, if not All Versus, or possibly even just all KMC, material. Would be neat, I think, to see it expand.

It's hard to decide which one.

We could really be on the verge of making something beautiful.
