Reed is one of those rare characters that have excellent piercing durability, but really suck against blunt force attacks.

He can cut him and would likely back in the day, however mr. fantastic has gotten much better with his powers, he can keep expanding so that he can't be pierced. So if MR. fantastic is actively using his powers, wolverine can't do much.

No, he tried in EOTS and in Fantastic Four (the issue in which Wolverine disfigured Thing), failed both times...
