Abraxas, Oblivion and Anti-Monitor (COIE) run the gauntlet

-They get time to refresh after each victory. All in their primes.
-Pre DC retcon.
-BFR is on.

1. Rune King Thor, Odin, Zeus, Zuras, Kronos, Those Who Sit Above in Shadow, the Void (Sentry) and Thanos
2. Tenebrous, Aegis, Guardians of Universe, Superman Prime, Nekron and Monarch
3. Goblin Force, Superman Prime (with a ring from each of the corps/has mastered them all to the best of his capability) and classic Ion
4. The Mad Celestials, Galactus Engine and Shuma-Gorath
5. The Hunger, Omega (Galactus clone) and Superman Prime One Million
6. Chaos King (Mikaboshi), ION (classic) and Anti-Life Darkseid
7. Galactus (absorbed his ship in additon to 100 galaxies, no Ultimate Nullifier), Spectre, Mistress Death Eternity and Infinity
8. Bat-Mite, Mad Jim Jaspers and Ultimator
9. Thanos with Infinity Gauntlet and Emperor Joker

Do they clear it or where do they stop?

Stuck in an infinite stalemate there. So they stop at 2.

Takes him where? Out on a date? Oblivion is doing nothing to Nekron.

Uhm, no. Nekron is a combo Death/Oblivion abstract that also happens to rule 1/3 of the afterlife (it exists outside and apart from the material universe). Oblivion is doing nothing to him.

This is on top of him being a Death Abstract AND ruler of Purgatory which makes up 1/3 of the DC afterlife (with the Silver City and Hell being the other 2).

Stops at 8.

I'm pretending Nekron isn't listed because it's not clear how to beat him (also not clear how to beat Oblivion)

Hence the endless stalemate at 2. There's nothing Team 1 can do to Team 2 that Nekron can't counter and vise versa.

And the funny thing is, we've seen nullified people (those sent to Oblivion's realms) can indeed DIE and go to their destined place in the afterlife. Team 1 is so fxxked because not only is Nekron an "Oblivion" abstract, he's also a "Death" abstract with his own slice of the afterlife (even though he "only" owns 1/3 of it, ALL beings must pass through there to their final resting place in either Heave or Hell)!

So anyway you look at it, Nekron got Team 2 covered. They get nullified somehow? Nekron will fix it. They die somehow? Nekron will fix it. They die while nullified? Nekron will fix it. Assuming he even allows them to die/be nullified.

Team 1 stops HARD at 2.

Just want to throw this out there to annoy Galan big grin, it has nothing really to do with the thread :

why, i oughta...

nekron is sentient darkness-- we've always known that:
(please log in to view the image)

---

however, he is also an aspect of death on some level. the wondercon article you posted above was put together in april '10. here's a scan from a comic released in september '10:
(please log in to view the image)
"I was just as invisible to DEATH[Nekron] as I was to the other Black Lanterns."

---

here's another scan from a comic published in december '10:
(please log in to view the image)
"You did not escape death... You are still connected to IT. To ME."

the most current info=the most canonical. multiple sources confirmed nekron as an aspect of death AFTER johns said he was above/beyond death in that interview. just saying.

---

but as we know, even nekron's cross-universal tangent was entirely irrelevant to death of the endless...

Lex: "The attack of the Black Lanterns! The dead rising! That's what this is about, isn't it? It was you behind that!"
Death: "Oh yeah. I noticed that. It looked like they were all having a great time. You know, people do come back from the dead. It's not a big deal... I AM kind of busy.":
(please log in to view the image)

Lex: "The dead have come back to life! Several of them!"
Death: "It happens! In the end, they ALL come back to ME.":
(please log in to view the image)

death treated the entire blackest night affair like it was nothing at all. an insignificant event she barely even noticed. funny.

---

anyway, i agree that this team stops at #2, mainly because of nekron.

Yea, having nekron at the two bracket was not a good idea for an effective exciting gauntlet. Maybe at 6 or something, lol. Probably over kill but i think he earned the spot.
