Walt Simonson's Balder would actually put up a good fight but he can't win sans battle field removal through teleportation. His incarnation was actually pretty formidable in battle IIRC, loss of limbs and decapitation is a very real possibility for Lobo so he'd have to be having a good day for it not to count as a win. Shame Walter didn't explore Balder more, really began building up the character once he spent some time on him. He would have been particularly deadly if he had kept the Sword of Frey.
