He did get some martial arts training recently, but he is still well below the top ones.

Thats my point. Spiderman is my 2nd favourite comic book character, but as far as formal skill goes he is well below anyone else on that list, even with his recently acquired kung fu skills.
If there was a free for all between all the people on the list, with all powers removed, Pete would probably be 1st to go down. His never say die spirit is the one thing that would keep him in this fight.
