Sherlock Holmes v James Moriarty [Sherlock]
Holmes and Moriarty are sitting in a small room with concrete floors and walls. They are seated opposite each other, with a good ten feet in between. On a small coffee table on the midpoint, there are two glasses of wine - one contains poison [a la "The Princess Bride] Neither of them have immunity, neither of them know which cup contains the poison. They must remain seated for ten minutes, and then go for the wine glasses.
So, they must outhink each other. In ten minutes time, will Sherlock's extreme observation out the poison? Or will James' "criminal consultancy" aid him in identifying the poison?
Is this just going to be fifty/fifty? Or while one man figure it out?

Holmes. Moriarty matched him move for move in both movies, but Holmes deduced every plan Moriarty had. It's much harder to figure something out than it is to set something in motion with resources like Moriarty had.

Holmes would somehow deduce which glass contained the poison, that's how the character is written after all. Moriarty would let him choose first, so Holmes would pick the non-poisoned drink and as he drank, Moriarty would pour his drink on the floor because he too would have deduced which glass contained the poison. That's how I would imagine it to go.

How did they get in the room? To the glasses have any fingerprints/smudges on them? Do they have the same amount of wine or did they remove some in the poison glass to componsate? Are the glasses an equal distance from the edges of the table? You can't expect someone to deduce something without any clues.
also it's not only a matter of finding the poison, but convincing the other to drink it.

Sherlock already did this in "Sherlock". He deduced the crap out of two pills (one being deadly the other a dud, both exactly the same size and shape).
