See my point now? What a sad day this is when people actually have doubts as to whether the full FP can beat King Thor.
The ONLY speck of light in this whole horrid AvX crap is that Sinister with Tiamut's power (or residue of Tiamut's power) and all his minions weren't a match for the P5. The PF didn't even concern itself with Sinister until Emma contacted it telepathically and told it Sinister was only interested in using it as a guinea pig. Then sh|t went downhill fast for Sinister and all his crew.
I also found it funny Sinister called the P5 unworthy hosts. And this was proven on panel when his Madelyn clones sucked the PF right out the P5.
There's a SLIM chance the ending issues of AvX will redeem the PF, we'll see.

But surely Uncanny X-men 17 showed quite clearly that the fallibility lies with the hosts and not the Force itself. If the Force is behind them on a matter and wants them to succeed then they will. However if it is neutral then how they fare in battle is dependent on how well they use their power. Their showings in this event were all to do with their mission to be heroes and the Phoenixes agenda.
So far in AVX we have seen Cyclops agenda backed by a neutral Phoenix Force so their showings say nothing of the power itself. It was said in AvX that the Phoenix Forces agenda is different and that it wants more than what Cyclops plans encompass.
Yeah, the PF didn't even care it was "contained" by Sinister until Emma convinced it, Sinister was only going to abuse it, then it was all over for Sinister. It seems that the PF is completely disinterested in what the P5 are doing too, seeing as how it left them immediately and went into the Madelyn clones as soon as it encountered them. Sinister even called the P5 substandard hosts. Let's see how the final two issues play out.
Whoever it was that wrote that issue should have written the entire AvX "main event".

I just think people arent thinking about things logically and are taking a superficial glance at the story without really thinking about things.
Hosts have always been fallible because of their humanity.
We've seen how a tiny fraction of the Force can empower a being to blow up planets and stars and gain the upper hand over a host with far greater access.
A fraction of infinity is still infinity.
Their showings arent down to a demoted Phoenix Force, thats an illogical, naive assessment.
Its down to the P5s agenda to be heroes and improve the planet and thereby attempting to act accordingly and with restraint.
Its down to the Phoenix Forces conflicting agenda. A point i said a while back to claims of fanboyism (im lookin at you ODG) only to have the point explicitly demonstrated in this weeks Uncanny X-men.
The P5 in forum settings, bloodlusted and with the PF backing them are not getting beaten by skyfathers
Whats the difference between a P5 member and Necrom? Necroms a ruthless villain, the P5 are trying to be heroes and bring about Utopia on the planet and so are acting accordingly. (Or at least attempting to)
Any single one of them if they truly wield a fifth of the power of creation are tapped into more power than a skyfather.
