To what degree of heat is plastic man resistant to heat?

Someone else wrote this about Supes heat vision, Im inclined to agree with it.

"I don't think an exact temperature was given, but Superman can melt most metals with his heat vision and can burn living beings. Certain individuals he can cut with it, if he is really precise with it. One story showcased Clark using his heat vision to thaw out the Earth. In the seventh season premire of "Smallville", he was capable of drying up all the water that had been freed when a local dam was destroyed in a fight with Bizarro."
