Hand to hand wrestling match, no special equipment, everyone in standard wrestling garb (civilian outfits)
No formal teams, only one winner, but members can double, triple, or even septuple (7 versus 1) each other. Participants have all had 1 month to prepare and fight videos to review the strengths and weaknesses of their opponents. Elimination is by casting the victim over the top rope.
Roster is as follows:
Classic Kingpin (Wilson Fisk)
Classic Captain America (Steve Rogers)
Black Panther (Silver Surfer armbar specialist)
Green Goblin (Norman Osborn)
Deathstroke the Terminator (Slade Wilson)
Daredevil (Matt Murdock)
Nightwing (Richard Grayson)
Batman (Bruce Wayne)
Deathstroke wins. Goblin gets taken down with group effort.
Daredevil does this to kingpin if he gets his way. Cap and panther will help...for justice. (please log in to view the image)
Keep in mind this is CLASSIC Kingpin, as in "The Wilson Fisk that could fight 6 men at once, rip a staircase from its moorings and rip the carpeting loose from a room with his bare hands". Kingpin from the 1970s and 1980s, if you will, where he could contend reasonably with the Spider-Man of that era.
I see deathstroke, batman, panther and cap realizing Goblins advantage and coming together to take him down. With batman comes night wing even if he is willing to beat Bruce's head in and daredevil will jump in as well if not just fight Fisk until the others are done with Norman.
Normans advantage is his weakness in a fight his enemies can team up. All of them have the h2h skills to keep up in various degrees.
I'll see what comes of arranging this in semi-poll style.
So far, Deathstroke, with 3 people voting for him, is the clear winner.
On the other hand, with the very good point made that he would be ganged up on, Norman Osborn is the top choice for elimination ...
Normans like class 10-20 I don't see 7 street level albeit strong street level heros & villains standing against norman, in my eyes I see him throwing them over the top rope 2 at a time or if he want to have some fun, he could probably just run round closelining everybody, he's quicker, stronger, more dense and durable to even be thrown of the rope by these guys, imo it will come down to fisk, cap an goblin, norman being the clear winner
Maybe I'm missing something here. Norman certainly scuffled with Spider-Man back in the day, and he took a serum that made him strong like Cap, but I'm really not seeing where he's displayed all this superstrength you guys are ascribing to him. NOT, at least, in comparison to Kingpin, who himself used to rumble with Pete back in the day.
I'm beginning to wonder if people actually know who Classic Kingpin IS, or if Norman just got some ULTRA upgrade in the past few years that I missed.
You guys ARE aware that Classic Kingpin is the very same guy who proved capable not only of everything I listed above but also the following, yes ...?
Yes, and norman took the goblin serum and became a class 10-20.....and yes I do realize fisk is 3-5 tons but that's like.....um.....that's like a 25 year old compared to a 12 year old, he's skilled in hand to hand, he's very quick.....and 1-2x stronger than the rest of the lineup......stormin norman takes this, how is this not obvious
And I can assure you now in a pis'less an cis'less fight between fisk and parker....parker would hand him his ass on a platter, he's a class 10 and his strength increases under pressure or for some other reason
Perhaps I should clarify, while this is still a first page affair:
-- strikes are still permitted in this fight. opponents can punch, kick, target pressure points, even poke people in the eye. They're not limited JUST to grabbing each other. It's more or less like a UFC or MMA style fight.
-- Elimination of any competitor is by getting them over the top rope and onto the floor below. They do not need to be killed, crippled, knocked out, or submitted.
-- Participants KNOW which of the roster have greater-than-ordinary strength. They've had a full month to get fairly detailed information on the physical prowess and fight style of each man in that ring. So everyone KNOWS Norman is strong, even as they know the same for Kingpin. They'll know that Kingpin could black out most any of them with a good bearhug, they'll know Norman could crack ribs or break somebody's jaw with a single punch. None of them are (metaphorically speaking!) going into this blind.
-- Participants can, again, multi-team any opponents they wish.
There is nothing to prevent Nightwing from working with Batman to take on Cap or Black Panther, there is nothing to prevent all 4 of those heroes teaming up to tackle Deathstroke, there is nothing to prevent those 5 from taking on Fisk or Daredevil. And yes, it is perfectly legitimate for all the others to recognize the threat Norman possesses, which they KNOW from the one month they've had to review video and prepare themselves for the fight, and all gang up to get HIM out the ring.
Keep in mind in addition to all this that Norman, unlike Spider-Man, does not possess any special surface clinging ability. He also cannot fly. And, to the best of MY knowledge, he is not THAT much heavier than the average person.
In fact, since he's NOT in his goblin armor, it makes sense to go with him being, at most, within about 100 pounds of his database listing of 185 pounds.
I have no problem with up to 300 pounds being offered for him.
But he's NOT like some rooted tank. He's NOT the Blob, he's not even as heavy as Kingpin in most estimations. If the other 7 decided to en masse and use a crowd "Surf's Up!" lift on him to toss him out of there, I'm not really sure how you think that gets thwarted, lest you think he's REALLY really fast, and I've never seen a particularly speedy display from Norman, or for that matter any great display of fight skill.
Do any of THESE considerations change your opinion?
Would bringing up the fact that nearly every remaining man on the roster has formed a large part of their career taking on bigger, stronger, even metahuman men?
In Revelations, Osborn with no gear is able to school Ben Reiley h2h. Slade probably takes it, but Osborn even without equipment is above a lot of these guys.
