Goku has the Power Pole, Flying Nimbus, Bansho Fan and a senzu bean.
Fight is set on top of the Tower of the Gods.
Which of these two miniature warriors will be victorious?
Gender: Male Location: 1/9.7'rd Horseman of the Apocalypse
Half the reason people think DBZ characters are as powerful as they do is because of the really good high end showings from early on, like Roshi kerbewming the moon and shit.

I enjoy Dragonball and DBZ, but any time someone tries to multiply a character's power output early on by an arbitrary amount due to how much stronger they think that character became later, they are basically making shit up, since power levels have never worked that way in DB.

I get what you're saying. People like to just make assumptions. I never bought into that myself, but the problem is that anyone bothers observing power levels at all. Vegeta basically said himself that power levels are unreliable bullshit.
People tend to assume that B is exactly 5 times stronger than A, and usually try to just multiply A's feats by 5 and apply them to B. It's the reason you get people claiming that anyone with a power level that is, say, 5 times higher than Master Roshi's, could destroy the equivalent of 5 moons. They may or may not do that for speed as well.
Anyway, as I recall [glasses] in the original Japanese manga [/glasses] that 'power level' is more accurately translated as 'combat rating.' It wouldn't necessarily be a measure of power so much as an indication of how good they are in a fight.
This actually sounds FAR more reasonable. I don't see why more fans don't follow that, and I find it especially hilarious when those same people argue using the manga all while forgetting about that.
