Kurse beats the dog poop out of Nimrod; beats him until he is nothing but a pile of scrap...

Then Kurse turns his back as he thinks the battle is over...

Nimrod immediately reconstructs with adaptations in place against further assault from Kurse, scans him for weakness, and proceeds to utterly destroy him with cold iron...

Nimrod eventually wins...

This is exactly how I see the fight going down. Kurse is in for a WORLD of hurt.

Absolutely...

He scanned Juggs (who is a non-mutant) and came up with sonics as a viable method of getting around his force field...

Nimrod rarely engages in combat before he has analyzed his opponent(s). He would take to the air, protect himself from thrown projectiles with a force field, discover the iron vulnerability, and proceed to beat Kurse.
