What's your top 5 box office predictions this week and why?
1) Edge of Tomorrow
2) The Fault in Our Stars
3) Maleficent
4) X-men
5) Million Ways to Die in West
Lot of sites are tracking Fault in Our Stars to beat Edge of Tomorrow but I can't see it. Edge of Tomorrow is big budget with a unique plot. Combine that with heavy tv marketing and great critical responses, it's gonna sell big. Plus Tom Cruise is in it. Fault in Our Stars just won't have the same reach.
I get the feeling that it will be 2) The Fault in Our Stars. This is usually the type of movie that takes home the big prize. But is this a thread about the Oscars? Because there's already one of those a few threads down.
