Battle takes place in an open field. Oberyn has his spears and the burn victim has his sword. Winner gets to kill the Mountain.

In the time they fought it was even. Hound took his orders well just like you do. He stopped when the dog was told to stop.

Viper is a lot quicker and the Hound isn't as strong as the Mountain.

He disobeyed Joffrey mid battle because he is a coward.

He did show more class but ended in a stalemate against his brother who wasn't as fresh as the Hound was.
