Probably depends on your criteria.
Are you looking for most influential?
Which series had the best movie?
Which one had overall best quality throughout?
Which the best average in terms of movie quality?
You could probably get different answers for each one.
For instance I think every single Harry Potter movie was good quality but I think Star Wars and LOTR each have a few movies that blow anyone of the Potters out of the Water. Like Empires and The Two Towers.
As for influential I think Star Wars has probably been the most influential franchise to date but that could change 30 years down the road.

It should be a poll
Personally I prefer Harry Potter, though its close between HP and lotr/Hobbit. I never cared for Star Wars.

I pick star war mainly due to the fact that i'm more of a sci-fi person than a fantasy. I think Star War has better characters and sub plots.
